New N/Delta militants threaten to ground Nigeria's economy

Adaka Boro Avengers, a new militant group, has issued a seven-day warning to oil companies in the Niger Delta region and have vowed to ground Nigeria’s economy.
Today.ng reports that the group stated that the ultimatum commences from Thursday, June 23, and that they will stop at nothing to ensure Nigeria’s economy hits the zero level.
In the statement signed by General Godday, the new group noted that destructions to oil installations and pipelines being experienced in the country were a tip of the iceberg as they have lined more installations for destruction in their region.
“We the Adaka Boro Avengers stand on our ground that we will not dialogue with the Federal Government of Nigeria. No retreat no surrender. We will not stop until our demands are met. We can no longer withstand the suffering of our people.
“Adaka Boro died for the people of Nigeria but still he’s not recognised by the Nigerian government. We that produces the national cake suffers joblessness, poor electricity, no road to the oil producing communities and many issues too numerous to mention. That’s why we stand to gain our independence.
“Therefore on this notice all multinational oil companies operating in the Niger Delta region should evacuate with immediate effect within 7 days ultimatum starting from 23 June, 2016 or stand to face the rout,” the statement read.
