How police arrested abductors of Reverend sisters






It was learnt that the suspected kidnappers have been involved in the different cases of abduction which has been happening in Ondo state.


One of the suspected kidnappers, Phillip Isiga, 25 years old and who hails from Delta state, said he was introduced to the kidnapping business by one Ufoma, who was also apprehended.


While narrating what actually happened Isiga, revealed that his own share from the N2.5 million ransom paid for kidnapping their victims was N50,000.

The names of the two Reverend sisters, who were kidnapped on Sunday, May 15 along Benin-Ijebu Ode Expressway were given as Reverend sister Perpetual Apo and Reverend sister Roseline Familade.


In addition, the driver of the vehicle which the sisters boarded, named Mr Zwugwa Zibai, was abducted.


The victims were ambushed when the vehicle they were in broke down, while they waited for help from some people, who lived close to a location at Kajola village at Odigbo area of the state.


The abducted sisters gained their freedom after a week of being kidnapped. Vanguard reports.


However, the abductors requested initially for a ransom of N20 million for the sisters’ release, but the Catholic Church reportedly paid N2.5 million to secure the release of the kidnapped sisters.


While speaking on the incident, Catholic Bishop of Ondo Diocese, Most Reverend Jude Arogundade, confirmed that the abductors had demanded for N20 million ransom during negotiation for the sisters’ release.
